We believe that the bible is the Word of God, spiritually inspired.
We believe in one God who exists in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that salvation is a free gift from God; it is not deserved nor can it be earned through works. We believe that we are saved by God’s grace, which we access by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. Because we believe in Jesus, we will show obedience through repentance, confession of our faith in Christ, Christian baptism, and living a Christian life led by the Holy Spirit.
We believe in eternal security. If you have been genuinely saved you cannot lose your salvation. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian.
We believe in God as the absolute and sole creator of the universe, and that creation was by divine command, not through evolutionary process.
We believe Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. We will either exist eternally separated from God in Hell or be eternally in union with Him in Heaven.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
“If you confess with your mouth, ’Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
Romans 10:9-10
The staff and membership of Hampton First Baptist Church knows that the decision you make about your salvation is the most important decision you will make in your lifetime. We ask that you answer the Salvation Testimony” below. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior or if you have questions about what accepting Jesus means, we ask that you meet with one of our pastors as soon as possible. You can do that by going to the front of the church during the invitation, speaking to one of them in the foyer of the church after the service, or calling the church office at 770-946-4804 and setting up an appointment.
