HFBC Family,

Over the last few months, we have experienced life in a very unusual way.  From online services and Bible studies to being thrust into homeschooling because of our shelter in place order, we have had to make many life adjustments. However, we have done it together.  I want to first say that I am proud of you, church.  These changes and adjustments have not been easy for anyone.  You are handling them with grace, patience and flexibility. I would also like to thank you for being encouraging and positive as our staff maneuvers through these times.  Our goal has been and will continue to be sharing Jesus with you in whatever way we can.  Thank you for staying connected and for your continued support through serving our community and through your giving.

Secondly, I want to take a moment and let you know where we are as a church and what the next few months will look like.  As many of you know, Governor Kemp has begun the process to ease our state back into normalcy while maintaining the COVID 19 health and safety guidelines.  So, what does this decision mean for Hampton First Baptist?  Well, after meeting with our staff and praying for God’s direction, I have decided that it is best for us to continue worshipping together and meeting together in an online capacity.  Although I desperately want to be together physically as a church family, I believe prudence and safety is the best option for this time.  As of now, our staff is anticipating a late May/early June return to onsite church services. However, even these plans are dependent upon the situation at the time.  Remember, the church is not confined to a building.  We will continue to be the church and worship as a family from our homes.  Pray with us as a staff, as we continue to seek God’s best for His church in the coming months and how we can creatively worship together.  Also, be ready for that day when we will all be back worshipping together.  It will be AWESOME!!!!   Church we love you!

HFBC Family,
We are committed to keeping you as safe as possible and have decided to suspend Sunday and Wednesday services until further notice.  We are also committed to continue worshiping and praising our God.  We will hold ONLINE SERVICE on SUNDAY MORNINGS at 11am for the next few weeks.  The service will be shown on Facebook Live , linked here on our website, and will also be posted on the Hampton First Baptist Church YouTube page (with the cross and globe logo).
The event will remain on all of these sites for you to view later in the week if needed.
We are also working on some engaging online Bible studies for Adults from Pastor Craig and activities for Students & Kids from Nathan, Christy & Shane. Please keep watch on our website. Also a reminder that RightNow Media is an awesome online & free tool for adults, families and kids!
In the past few days our world,  country and state has been confronted with a very serious and unique challenge.  The COVID-19 virus has created a whirlwind of change and uneasiness for all people.  While this virus has caught us all by surprise, be assured today that it has not caught God by surprise.  All through God’s Word, we read the words, “Do not fear.”  Please know that God is still in control.  In the days and weeks to come, let’s place our trust in the One who is most Trustworthy.  Let’s continue to worship Him and shine bright for Him.
As a reminder, you can continue to give tithes and offerings to the church through several resources:
  • Online Bill Pay through your own bank
  • Mail check to church office
  • Give+ through Vanco or the Give+ app from your app store
  • Text-to-Give through Vanco at 844-955-0998
Please join with all churches and believers as we all continue to serve our one true God and to pray for those affected by this virus, our country and our world.  And please know that our staff is always available for you. Please don’t hesitate to call the church if you find yourself in need.  Our staff will be available and ready to help in any way.
In Him,
Pastor Craig
