We strive to reach our local community, state, nation and world with the Good News of Jesus Christ!  There’s a place for you and your family to get involved.

ONGOING COMMUNITY MISSIONS

Saturday Serve is a monthly community service.  We gather and are ready to serve Hampton in a variety of ways, sharing God’s love with those we meet.

We have a growing Hispanic Ministry at Hampton First Baptist.  Every Sunday we host a Hispanic worship service.  Each Sunday and Wednesday we offer an adult Hispanic Bible study.  We also host various ministry events at the clubhouse in Clover Ranch Mobile Home Community in Hampton.

Throughout the school year we offer a free, weekly Good News Kids Club at Rocky Creek Elementary.  This Club meets on Tuesday afternoons from 2:30-4:00pm.

We support a ministry at the Clayton County Prison.  Church members, Don Shelley and Steve Thomas are chaplains at the prison.

We support the local Pregnancy Resource Center in Henry County.  Each year a love offering is collected for the center.  Church member, Don Shelley is on the board of directors and does a lot of great work around the center.  If you desire to serve the Lord and the community, the Pregnancy Resource Center is always looking for more volunteers.  You can volunteer to answer phones, work on building maintainence or even work as a counselor.  For more information, contact the church office, or visit the Pregnancy Resource Center website.

We support the Christian Women’s Center in Sunnyside. The CWC runs a 12 month discipleship program that offers refuge to women in crisis, believing these women can be restored to physical, emotional and spiritual well being through the love of Christ. Church member, Becky Smith, is the Executive Director of the center. The center provides certified Christian counseling, classes, health & dental screenings, bible studies, opportunity to volunteer and partnerships with community services for our residents.  All services to our residents are offered at a nominal fee due to the donations from individuals, churches and organizations in the area.  Also providing income for the center are donations of household items, furniture and clothing sold at the Christian Women’s Thrift Store in Griffin. Find out more information at the Christian Women’s Center website.

CHURCH OUTREACH EVENTS

We plan several community outreach events throughout the year, such as; neighborhood block parties, Backyard Bible Clubs, dinners for the Luella High School football team and marching band, breakfasts for local 1st Responders, and Community Fall Festival and Easter Egg Hunt.

F.A.I.T.H. Riders is a motorcycle ministry passionate about sharing the Good News of the salvation message of Jesus Christ to every person they encounter.  The Hampton Chapter has monthly meetings to plan rides and rallys.

We reach out to those that have visited our church, through our REACH program and through our Sunday School classes.  The REACH Team meets on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm.

RACEWAY MINISTRY

When NASCAR comes to the Atlanta Motor Speedway our church members volunteer with Raceway Ministries Atlanta.  As nearly 100,000 race fans come to Hampton, we reach out to them in various ways.  We offer hospitality tents for campers, children’s activities, golf cart services, free breakfasts, and several Sunday worship services across the AMS grounds.
