WHAT TO EXPECT
Visiting a church for the first time can be a difficult experience. Where to go? What to wear? What are the service times? These are typical questions that almost anyone would ask. We have included information on this webpage to answer those questions and help you feel more comfortable about your visit. We wish to make your visit pleasant and enjoyable for your whole family.
How do I get to Hampton First Baptist?
Once you have arrived, drive into the entrance that leads to the back of the building. The main parking lot and entrance are located behind the church. There are parking spaces with signs reading, “Guest Parking” that we encourage you to use. Once inside the church building’s main entrance there is an Information Center and greeters that will be happy to assist you.
How should I dress?
We want you to feel welcome and comfortable. Therefore, we do not have a dress code for members or guests. You will find people wearing nice, casual clothing as well as dressy clothing and everything inbetween. As long as your clothing is nice and modest you will not feel out of place.
Are there classes for all age groups?
Yes, we offer Sunday School classes at 9:45am for every age.
Do you offer a nursery during the worship services?
Yes, nursery is provided during both services for children ages 3 and under. We also offer a children’s worship service called Kids Town for children ages 4 through grade 3.
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No, we want our worship service to be our gift to you. We would like for you to participate in filling out the guest registration card from the bulletin, tearing it off and placing it in the offering plate as it is passed so that we have record of your attendance and can get to know you.
If you have any other questions before your visit, please contact us. We’d be happy to visit with you.
